The event is meant as a special tribute celebrating 30+ years of extraordinary community leadership and humanitarian impact championed by Warren Creates, known equally for his unwavering advocacy and his loyalty to the colour orange.
This unforgettable evening will recognize Warren’s remarkable legacy as Founder and long-time Chair of the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival, one of Canada’s most successful charitable sporting events, having raised more than $6 million in support of local organizations and community initiatives.
Warren’s influence extends far beyond our region. As Founder of the Can-Go Afar Foundation, he has dedicated himself to advocating for and empowering marginalized nomadic communities in the Horn of Africa. Through tireless fundraising, international advocacy, and legal efforts to strengthen protections for the Afar people, Warren has worked to build pathways toward dignity, opportunity, and self-determination.

Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall LLP/s.r.l. also features gourmet cuisine from some of Ottawa’s most celebrated culinary leaders, including Chef Joe Thottungal (Coconut Lagoon and Thali) and Sheila Whyte (Thyme & Again), alongside live entertainment, a tribute presentation, and both silent and live auctions.
